Vegas in February

We had a great time in Vegas with Lisa's family!

We were there a little over a week and packed in lots of fun activities.

The cousins had a lot of fun together and picked up right where they left off from all of our good times in DC. Wilson and Wally especially loved seeing each other! Here they are partying at my 30th birthday celebration that featured some awesome Cheesecake Factory cheesecake - it didn't last long enough to get a picture of, oops!

The main event of the week was Grandma's 90th birthday celebration. It was a lot of fun seeing Aunt Peggy, Uncle Steve, cousin Cory and all of Grandma's good friends. We missed you cousin Shannon!

Grandma above with family and below with friends. There was quite a crowd there to help her ring in a new decade!

Beautiful cake!

The co-hosts living it up.

Four generations of Warden ladies!

Some cute cousin moments!

After Grandma's big party, Clifford had to go back to work in 29 Palms, California. We decided to take a road trip there with Grandma and Grandpa Corley to visit him and made a side trip to Palm Springs. We had a great time!

One of our stops was at Joshua Tree National Park. The boys loved the cool cactus garden.

Part of the drive took us on Route 66. We saw some cool signs and abandoned hotels.

We also went by a restored train station, which the boys loved.

We had fun checking out an airplane museum in Palm Springs. After Nathan and I expertly pointed out the wings and cockpit, Grandpa jumped in with knowledge on everything else having to do with the planes. The boys loved it!

Back in Vegas, we checked out the Ethel M chocolate factory for the free samples and toured the cactus garden. The boys ran around like crazy while I got some cuddles in with my adorable niece, Charlotte.

The ladies of the trip planned a surprise shower for me at one of our favorite places eat. It was really lovely! Thanks Mom, Amy and Aunt Peggy!!

We spent the rest of our time in Vegas visiting Pawn Stars (and seeing Big Hoss!), hitting the tables (Nathan and I left up $250 at blackjack, woohoo!) and spending time with Grandma.

It was so nice seeing everyone and my only complaint about this part of the trip was that it didn't last longer.  The good news is the Corley gang already has tickets to visit us in Japan this fall...can't wait!

  1. I love seeing all of the boys in their sassy duds! How wonderful to be able to celebrate 90 years of a wonderful life all together as a family.

PS-I've been meaning to say it since I found out, but CONGRATS on the news. :)
